Dependable Industries had come to us asking if if we could reverse model an impeller, the catch was that they only had the impeller for one day and it had to go back into the field as it was a working component in a BC Hydro Facility. We went to their facility and scanned in onsite, generated a solidworks file so that they could make a new pattern to make another impeller. Large Metal Casting Inspection

Dependable Industries had come to us asking if we could scan a 9 foot long casting to verify some thicknesses. They wanted to know how thick the cast was in  certain areas to ensure that it would be suitable for production.We scanned the casting and used Rapidform XOV to determine the wall thickness. With this information the vendor could verify that the casting was suitable to use.

Engine Gasket

A local vendor needed a Solidworks parametric model of a engine gasket so that they could make modifications to the product for their aftermarket component. Since this part was extremely flexible we had to secure the item and then scan it. We then used Rapidform XOR to generate the solids and exported the parametric model direct to Solidworks.
